Masala Bread Premix

This recipe is useful for students who move away from their homes for studying or for their job or for any other reason. All you have to do is add some hot water in this Premix & your Masala Bread will be ready to be eaten. It tastes really good & is a unique recipe as anyone can prepare this while they are on the go. The best part about this Premix is that you can store it & use later.

What you'll need:

  1. Bread Slices - 4 (Cut into 1 inch square pieces)
  2. Oil - 2 tsp
  3. Mustard Seeds - 1tsp
  4. Jeera - 1 tsp
  5. Curry Leaves - 8 to 10
  6. Finely chopped Ginger - 1 inch piece
  7. Chopped Green Chilly - 2
  8. Finely chopped Onion - 1 (small)
  9. Tomato Puree of 2 Tomatoes
  10. Red Chilly Powder - 1 tsp
  11. Turmeric (Haldi Powder) - 1 tsp
  12. Dry Coriander Powder - 2 tsp
  13. Salt - As per taste
  14. Coriander Leaves - 1 tsp
  15. Lemon Juice - 2 tsp (optional)

How to make?

  • Firstly, heat a pan, dry roast Bread pieces for 4 to 5 minutes on low to medium flame, transfer this into a bowl & keep it aside.
  • Now, heat  the same pan again, add 2 tsp Oil, Mustard Seeds, Jeera, Curry Leaves, chopped Ginger & saute for a minute.
  • Now, to this mixture add finely chopped Onion & cook for 3 to 4 minutes / till the Onion dries.
  • Now, add Tomato Puree, Salt, Red Chilly Powder, Turmeric (Haldi) Powder & Dry Coriander Powder & cook for 2 to 3 minutes or till the mixture dries.
  • Now, add Bread pieces & Coriander Leaves mix everything well & cook for 1 more minute.
  • Now add Lemon Juice & turn off the flame.
  • Finally, your Masala Bread Premix is ready to be stored in an airtight container for 8 days at room temperature & 1-2 months in fridge.

 For Masala Bread Preparation -

  • Firstly, take the above premix a bowl, add 1 to 1¼ cups boiled water in it, cover it with a lid & keep it aside for 15 minutes (Tip: Always use water half the quantity of Masala Bread Premix)
