Methi Rice

What you'll need:

  1. Basmati Rice - 1 cup
  2. Oil - 1 tbsp
  3. Garlic, Ginger & Green Chilly Paste - 1 tsp
  4. Fenugreek Leaves (Methi Leaves) - 2 tbsp (Chopped)
  5. Tomato (Chopped) - 1
  6. Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
  7. Red Chilly Powder - ½ tsp
  8. Turmeric Powder - ½ tsp
  9. Fresh Coriander (Chopped) - 1 tbsp
  10. Water - 2 cups
  11. Salt - As per taste

How to make?

  • Firstly, take a pan, add Oil, Garlic, Ginger & Green Chilly Paste & cook for a minute or till aroma is released.
  • Now, add finely chopped Methi Leaves & cook for a minute.
  • Now, add chopped Tomato & Salt & cook till Tomato becomes tender.
  • Now, add all ingredients from 6 to 9 & cook for a minute.
  • Now, add Rice & mix properly so that everything blends well.
  • Now, add water & cook on high flame till water evaporates.
  • Now, make the flame low & cook for more 3-4 minutes.
  • Finally, your Methi Rice is ready to be served.
