Cheesy Envelope

What you'll need:

 For Dough -

  1. Wheat Flour - ½ cup
  2. All purpose Flour (Maida) - ½ cup
  3. Oil - 1 tbsp
  4. Salt - ¼ tsp
  5. Oregano/Pizza Seasoning - ¼ tsp
  6. Chilly Flakes - ½ tsp
  7. Water - As per requirement

 For Filling -

  1. Cheese Slices - 4
  2. Cheese Cubes (grated) - ½ cup or as per requirement
  3. Chilly Flakes - ¼ tsp
  4. Mixed Herbs - ½ tsp
  5. Oregano/Pizza Seasoning - ½ tsp
  6. Salt - 3 pinches
  7. Butter/Ghee/Oil - 2 tbsp

How to make?

  • Firstly, make a soft dough using above mentioned Dough ingredients & let it rest for 10 minutes.
  • Now, heat a Tawa on medium flame.
  • After 10 minutes, divide the dough into 4 equal portions. Sprinkle some Flour on Rolling Pin & Board (Chakla Belan), take 1 portion of the dough & make a thin big Roti out of it.
  • Now, take 1 Cheese Slice & place it in the centre of the Roti, put some grated Cheese on the Cheese Slice & sprinkle very little Salt over the Cheese.
  • Now, sprinkle some Chilly Flakes, Mixed Herbs & Oregano/Pizza Seasoning over the Cheese.
  • Now, apply some Butter/Ghee/Oil on the remaining edges of the Roti & sprinkle some Flour over the Butter/Ghee/Oil.
  • Now, fold the entire Roti in square shape so that the entire Filling is covered.
  • Now, sprinkle some Flour on Rolling Pin & Board (Chakla Belan) & flatten the Roti using Rolling Pin.
  • Similarly, prepare Rotis using remaining 3 portions of the Dough.
  • Now, cook all the Rotis on the Tawa from both the sides on medium-high flame. When a Roti is half cooked, apply some Butter/Ghee/Oil over it to make it crispier.
  • Finally, your Cheesy Envelope is ready. Cut it in 2 pieces diagonally & serve hot.
