Crunchy Masaledaar Macroni (Diwali Special)

Crunchy Masaledaar Macroni

What you'll need:

  1. Macroni - 1 cup (100 Grams)
  2. Water - 4 cups
  3. Salt - 1 tsp
  4. Oil - 1 tsp
  5. Oil for Frying

 For Coating -

  1. All Purpose Flour (Maida) - 2 tbsp
  2. Corn Flour - 2 tbsp

 For Masala -

  1. Kashmiri Red Chilly Powder - ½ tsp
  2. Black Salt - ½ tsp
  3. Chaat Masala - ½ tsp
  4. Mango Powder (Amchur Powder) - ½ tsp
  5. Maggi Masala - 1 tsp
  6. Asafoetida (Hing) - ¼ tsp

How to make?

  • Firstly, boil the water on medium flame, when it starts boiling add Salt, Oil &  Macroni & stir it properly for a minute so that they don't stick to each other.
  • Now, cover it with a lid & continue cooking for 7 to 8 minutes or till Macroni are 80% cooked.
  • Now, transfer the cooked Macroni in a strainer, drain water & pour ice cold water over it.
  • Now, coat the Macroni with above mentioned coating ingredients & mix gently by moving the strainer slowly so that the extra flour is drained out.
  • Now, heat Oil on medium flame & fry Macroni till crispy & golden brown from all sides, but make sure do not stir for first two minutes otherwise it will break
  • Now, prepare the Masala with the help of ingredients mentioned above for Masala.
  • Now, coat the crunchy crispy fried Macroni  all over with the above prepared Masala.
  • Finally, your Crunchy Masaledaar Macroni is ready.
Shelf Life - 20 to 25 days at room temperature (in an air tight container)
