Eggless Red Velvet Choco Chip Cookies
What you'll need:- Unsalted Butter - ¼ cup
- Powdered Sugar - ¼ cup + 2 tbsp
- All purpose flour (Maida) - ¾ cup
- Baking Powder - ½ tsp
- Vanilla Essence - ½ tsp
- White Choco Chips - ¼ cup
- Salt - A pinch
- Red Food Colour - 5 to 6 drops
How to make?- Firstly, take a bowl, add Butter at room temperature & Powdered Sugar, beat with the electric beater or (you can use the hand beater if electric beater is not available but it will take little more time) till the mixture becomes light and airy.
- Now, to this add sifted All Purpose Flour, Baking Powder, a pinch of Salt, Vanilla Essence & give everything a good mix with your hand.
- Now, at this stage add Choco Chips & Edible Red Food Colour & mix gently with a hand so that everything is incorporated well.
- Now, take a steamer or a pan, put 1 cup salt in it & then place a wired rack/inverted bowl at the centre of the steamer/pan & preheat it on medium flame for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, place a plastic sheet on a Rolling Pin & Board, place your Cookie Dough on the sheet, cover the dough with another plastic sheet so that Cookie Dough doesn't stick to your Rolling Pin & Board, flatten the dough using rolling pin & then give shape to your cookies using a Cookie Cutter. (Tip: In case you do not have a Cookie Cutter, you can give round shape using any circular object like a bottle lid or glass)
- Now, garnish your shaped cookie with White Choco Chips as shown in the picture.
- Now, transfer all the shaped cookies into a greased tray/plate, place the greased cookie tray/plate into the steamer & bake the cookies for 12-15 minutes on low to medium flame.
- Now, take out the cookies, let it cool completely & then store it an air-tight container. (Don't worry if your Cookies are soft cause Cookies only turn crispier after cooling down)
- Finally, your Eggless Red Velvet Choco Chip Cookies are ready to be served.
