Bun Surprise

What you'll need:

  1. Buns (Pav) - 4
  2. Cheese Cubes - 2

 For Green Coating -

  1. Oil - 1 tsp
  2. White Til - ½ tsp
  3. Garlic, Ginger & Green Chilly Flakes - 1 tsp
  4. Blanched Spinach (Palak) & Green Capsicum Puree - 2 tbsp
  5. Salt - As per taste
  6. Black Pepper - As per taste
  7. Water - 1 tsp

 For Red Coating - 

  1. Oil - 1 tsp
  2. White Til - ½ tsp
  3. Grated & Boiled Beetroot - 1 (Small)
  4. Salt - As per taste
  5. Black Pepper - As per taste
  6. Water - 1 tsp

 For Filling - 

  1. Oil - 1 tbsp
  2. Finely chopped Onions - 1 (Small)
  3. Boiled Potato - 1
  4. Green Chilly - 1
  5. Salt - As per taste
  6. Red Chilly Powder - ½ tsp
  7. Turmeric Powder (Haldi Powder) - A pinch

How to make?

  • Firstly, take a Bun & make a hole in it at the centre & scrape off the centre carefully (Refer the picture). Repeat the same with all the Buns.  
  • Now, in a pan, put all the Green Coating ingredients serially & saute for a minute or two (on low to medium flame). Then, coat 2 Buns properly using this. Do the same with Red Coating ingredients & coat the remaining 2 Buns too. Keep all the Buns aside. 
  • Now, in the same pan, saute all the Filling ingredients mentioned above (on low to medium flame).
  • Now, fill the hole in the Bun with the filling.
  • Now, take a Tawa, put few drops of Oil on it & roast both sides of all the Buns for a minute or two (on low to medium flame).
  • Now, transfer all the Buns in a serving plate & put some grated Cheese over all of them & serve.
