Veggie Nuggets


What you'll need:


  1. Poha (Flattened Rice) - 1 cup (Soaked in water for 3-4 minutes) 
  2. Slice Bread (Without Edges) - 3 pieces (Or Bread Crumbs - 3 to 4 tbsp)
  3. Vegetables - As per choice (I used Green Capsicum, French Beans, Carrot,Onion & Corn)
  4. Grated Paneer - 4 tbsp (Optional)
  5. Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
  6. Rice Flour - 2 tbsp
  7. Finely Chopped Green Chillies
  8. Finely Chopped Coriander
  9. Salt as per taste
  10. Red Chilly Flakes/Red Chilly Powder
  11. Chaat Masala - ½ tsp
  12. Oregano - 1 tsp (You can take any seasoning of your choice)
  13. Curd - 2 tbsp
  14. Black Pepper Powder - ½ tsp
  15. Bread Crumbs - 4 tbsp
  16. Oil for frying

 For Slurry:

  1. All Purpose Flour - 4 tbsp
  2. Water - 1 cup
  3. Salt - ½ tsp
Tip: If slice bread is not available, you can double the quantity of Rice Flour i.e. 4 tbsp or vice versa.

How to make?

  • Mix all the above ingredients except bread crumbs & oil.
  • Now make 1 inch cylindrical shaped nuggets from the above mixture & flatten from both the sides. (Tip: You can store these nuggets in an air tight container in deep freezer for a month & fry it whenever you want)
  • Now, mix all the slurry ingredients to make a thin paste. Then dip all the nuggets in the slurry paste & coat the nuggets with bread crumbs.
  • Now, deep fry or shallow fry all the nuggets till crispy.
  • Your nuggets are ready. Serve hot with green chutney or sauce.
