Homemade Mawa/Khoya
Homemade Mawa is ready-to-use mawa at times when mawa is not easily available. Khoya/Mawa plays an important role while making most of Indian sweets like Peda, Gajar Halwa and many more. It can also be used to make Koftas, Curries, etc. And the best part about this recipe is that it will get ready in 3 minutes!
What You'll Need:- Milk Powder - 1 cup
- Milk at Room Temperature - ½ cup
- Desi Ghee - 2 tbsp
How To Make?- Take heavy bottom pan and keep it on low flame. Now, put ghee in it, add milk and stir it continuously until it starts to boil.
- Now, add milk powder slowly to avoid formation of lumps. Keep stirring continuously as you add milk powder. Cook the mixture till it leaves the sides of the pan.
- Do not overcook the mixture otherwise it will become more dry.
- Now, put off the flame and your mawa is ready.
- To store it, cool it and then refrigerate it in an airtight container. It will last for 7-10 days.
